- parents passed away when she was very young
- spent time in an orphanage / foster system at this young age but had incredibly bad experiences there and ran away
- post running away, lived on the streets and made a very scant living robbing people or working together with a criminal group who did the same. celi gave the okay for her to have a blessing that either conceals her appearance or makes it inscrutable at will to use in this era
- eventually a heist or job went Incredibly Wrong and she accidentally killed the owner of the home they were robbing
- after this she panicked and fucked off from the criminal side of things entirely!! went awol around a year ago, so anyone who knew her back then can know she hasn't been around for about a year.
- used her blessing to make sure nobody from her thieving days could recognize her, and joined acidia proper with a new name (fern) for the past year.
