hellooooo here are some possible content warnings that could come up while threading with vin - please let me know if you're alright with mentions of any/all of these! all of these will be opt in, and i'll make sure to check the squicks list before anything comes up as well.
eugenics, classism & class warfare, torture, gore, decapitation, femicide, sexual assault (general, not a specific instance), prostitution, infanticide, mass murder, child abuse (verbal, emotional and physical), child murder, climate collapse, and slavery.
also, while her ability levels will be lowered significantly for the power cap, she has the following powers that i want to check in on as well since they impact other characters. none of these are innate/constant, she has to decide to activate them. i'll make sure to give a heads up/ooc vibe check if i think she's going to use any, even for those who opt in - my guess is that usage will be fairly rare.
- ability to see moments into the future. she typically uses this specifically in fights, where she's able to perceive someone's next move and dodge it if possible. with powercap i'm gonna say she might get a split second flash of what someone is about to do.
- ability to see into someone's past. this doesn't entail seeing any of their memories or gleaning any knowledge of their experiences; it just gives her the ability to temporarily see an image of what they've looked like previously. for example, using this on an adult might show what their appearance was as a child, or for someone who's undergone significant physical changes for any reason, she might be able to see what they looked like prior to those changes. like the above, i'm going to say that with powercap, she can only see this for a split second. she won't use this often, but if i think it's going to come up i'll reach out to see if there's anything notable she might pick up on.
- ability to inflame emotions. to use an example for this, if someone was ambivalent about a certain topic, using this ability would make them Care A Lot about whatever's being discussed. it's commonly used to incite riots or dissent in a group, if that gives a better idea of how it functions, but it can be used on an individual level as well. she can't actually feel the emotions, just influence them. with powercap i'm going to say this is only a light nudge into having Feelings. people who are very perceptive and tuned into their own feelings can tell when this is happening.
- ability to soothe emotions. the opposite of the above! this makes people calmer, less angry or fearful, more accepting and understanding. kinda like an emotional sedative. same rules as above with powercap, it's just a light nudge towards being more chill rather than something overpowering. same as the above, people who are very perceptive and tuned into their own feelings can tell when this is happening. like the above, she can't feel the emotions, only influence them.
