[hope that nogiku is having a good day! probably not, but i, eli, can dream.
anyways, when she wanders into the carnival, she'll see a very small young woman huddled by one of the rides, who for whatever reason is using a shard of glass (where did she get that) to scrape shavings of metal off the side of the attraction. why. it doesn't seem like she's noticed nogiku yet, but she looks down with a small frown at the tiny shavings of metal in her palm before picking out a particularly small one
and popping it in her mouth, swallowing it. why. for what purpose.]
[after everything wraps up, she's heading back to the mansion, still the safest place in her estimation. she's been testing out her amber today, so when nogiku happens upon her, she'll find vin holding a small blanket in her hands. for whatever reason, it seems kind of tattered. she looks towards nogiku with a frown.]
Is yours better?
[the calm effect, at least, means she's actually making conversation. miraculous.]
[Well. Here's Nogiku, staring at the fucking void while smoking a Lisa Frank cigarette. Today is somehow the worst day of her life? Horrible. Awful. She's leaning against the iron railing when she notices Vin, and sighs.]
[the rooftop is an easy place for her to clear her mind, so she's heading there shortly after the "trial". when she sees nogiku already here, she pauses for a few moments, before:]
...I do not like this.
[in the "i think something bad is about to go down" meaning, not the "i'm not having a good time" meaning. although, maybe both, honestly.]
[In their brand new greenhouse, Nogiku holds one of the smaller pots in her hands. The expression on her face is... eerily blank. Until it suddenly isn't, and she spikes the pot on the ground in front of her like it's a football.
Hopefully it's plastic and she did not just get sharp ceramic pieces all over her feetsies. Vin does not deserve this starter, and yet.]
[here they are in the library! vin's been pretty vigilant about making sure that she doesn't get close to people, but somehow for the purposes of this thread she doesn't notice that nogiku is here before a bubble pops up around them. oops.]
[Nogiku watches the lift with her hands in her pocket, and a yellow scarf wrapped around her neck to keep her warm. She seems a little... awed, really.]
[Welcome to the void, where they will stay until one of us decides where they are. Nogiku is just vibing and taking a little smoke break when she notices her.]
even as she emerges from the pod, there's something very clearly wrong with her vision - she can make out that she's not alone in the medbay, probably, but she's just squinting very hard in nogiku's direction for a moment instead of addressing her. eventually, though:]
